A man from the Barossa Valley has died after an SUV and motorcycle crashed at Rowland Flat yesterday afternoon.

About 4.50pm, police were called to the Barossa Valley Way after reports of the crash.

The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old man, died at the scene.

The two occupants of the SUV were not injured in the crash.

Major Crash Investigators attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The man’s death was the 21st life lost on SA roads compared to 31 at the same time last year.

It was the second fatal crash in the Barossa Valley region in less than 24 hours.

A 31-year-old Mildura man was killed in a single car crash at Shea-Oak Log just after 8pm on Friday.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed either crash or captured dashcam footage.
