A Barossa Valley man who allegedly scammed wine lovers out of almost $6 million has faced court on 15 counts of theft and deception.

A Barossa Valley man has faced court accused of scamming wine lovers out of almost $6 million.
Scott Tolhurst, 51, appeared in the Tanunda Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with 15 counts of theft and one count of deception.
Police allege Tolhurst received almost $6 million for wine he failed to supply to victims in 2018.
Detectives from the Serious and Organised Financial Crime Investigation Section arrested him in July.
Tolhurst will next face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on September 24, 2021.
