An Adelaide veterinarian has pleaded not guilty to charges he distributed images of his former partners without their consent.

Andrew John Goring, 35, appeared in Christies Beach Magistrate Court, and denied four counts of knowingly distributing invasive images of persons over 17 years.

A police prosecutor told the court it would be alleged that Goring distributed around a dozen images to his partner at the time, four of which were without consent, in January 2020.

“Prosecution rely on four images – one count has been laid for each image,” the prosecutor explained.

“They (the images) were sent on the same date by the defendant via Instagram.”

The court heard a total of 13 images were allegedly sent via the social media app to a now former partner of Goring.

“She did not give consent to those images being sent,” said the prosecutor.

The court heard details of the nature of the images, which allegedly showed Goring and his former partners having sex as well as solo images of his partners, one of which was captioned with a crude message.

The court heard it would be alleged Goring had, on a number of occasions, brought up the idea of introducing a third person into his relationships.

Goring, who is a former RSPCA veterinarian, met both his alleged victims when running marathons across Adelaide.

His lawyer requested a transcript of messages sent between Goring and one of his alleged victims, which Magistrate Sue O’Connor ordered.
