Adelaide Hills butcher Lowe’s Meat Co takes out top honours in ‘best of’ vote

An Adelaide Hills business, known for its large range of homemade sausages, has been crowned the region’s best butcher.

Lowe’s Meat Co in Mount Barker secured the highest percentage of votes in The Adelaide Hills News “Best Of” campaign, which called on public nominations to crown the region’s best butcher shop.

Lowe’s Meat Co assistant manager Bradley Howse said he credited the win to the businesses loyal clientele and providing a product that was fresh and cost effective.

“We try to do the cheapest possible prices for our customers and also try to be nice and friendly and take time to get to know our customers,” he said.

“We do all of our sausages ourselves and have a massive range of sausages, but also do cooked roasts for free, so the customer just pays for the price of (the meat) and they really like that.

“We also try to run our meat as specials all the time and that has helped us to build a loyal clientele.”

Lowe’s Meat Co is located at 2/2 Victoria Crescent, Mount Barker.
