A River Murray woman has been cut free from a car and flown to hospital after a serious crash overnight.
Just after 7pm on Friday, police and emergency services were called to the scene of a single car crash on Cliff View Dr in Walker Flat.
The Holden sedan had crashed into a tree and the driver, a 53-year-old local woman, was trapped in the car for “some time” before Country Fire Service and Emergency Services were able to cut her free.
She was flown to Adelaide in a serious, but stable, condition.
Her passenger, a 24-year-old man from Walker Flat was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The car was towed from the scene and the road reopened around 11pm.
SAPOL has confirmed investigations into the crash are ongoing.
