Woman shares hilarious blow dry fail that needs to be seen to be believed

"Hard to ask for the manager when you're sporting the 'ask for the manager'," says the client in question. 

When you're having a good hair day, it really feels like you can do anything! Especially if you've spent time and money on having your hair done. You want people to notice and you want to feel good about it. 

However, one woman has shared her hair-tastrophe after leaving a salon. It was not how she expected the blow dry to go, and neither did her followers.

Maggie Hughes left the hairdresser 'disturbed' after going in for what she thought was a routine blow dry. The hair-mare victim went online to share a video explaining a little more about the ordeal and the video has now been seen over 1.2 million times.

She began: "All right. So last Friday, I was involved in a very unfortunate situation, I went to a boutique to get a blowout."

PSA: know the salon you're visiting! 

Maggie revealed she'd never had her hair done in this particular boutique before and 'didn't really know their operation'.

Setting the scene, Maggie explained: "So what happens is you walk in, somebody washes your hair, they throw you in a chair, multiple people ferociously use round brushes on you.

"So many round brushes, at one point, my head was way down and when I looked up and I came to somebody else was pouring some white powder on my hair."

Maggie noticed something was amiss, as the original hairdresser doing Maggie's hair left her to go and "answer the door" and then was going back and forth as she was also "selling purses" during the whole appointment.

"There was a lot going on," Maggie went on.

She continued: "When I left, let's just say it wasn't exactly what I had anticipated, but I was too afraid to ask for the manager."

Maggie didn't name or shame the salon but used her bad 'do as a PSA for others saying, "If you are unhappy with something you should say something."

She then went on to show viewers the after photo, which she said was "pretty disturbing" and offered a trigger warning.

As Dolly Parton would say, "the higher the hair the closer to God!"  

Maggie then cut the clip to an image of her finished look and there was copious amounts of volume. So much so that her hair nearly touched the roof of the car. 

One TikTok user penned: "Where did you go? The 80s?" To which she responded: "Best comment ever!"

"You didn't step into a salon... you stepped into a time machine," teased a second.

A third chimed: "Was the powder self-raising flour???"

A fourth joked: "That was not a Bob it was a WHOLE ROBERT."

And another quipped: "That wasn't a hair blower, it was a leaf blower."

"I was not prepared for that," admitted one user, while someone else revealed: "When I say I laughed out loud. Oh girl. Thank you for documenting this!!!"

"This might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen," echoed a final TikTok user. "I'm so sorry."

And one of the most popular comments was, "This would totally be your contact picture on my phone if we were friends."

If you're unhappy, say something

While mortified, Maggie admits she didn't ask for the manager as she was too embarrassed. 

"I was too afraid to ask for the manager... I'm white, have blonde hair, and didn't want to end up on the nine o'clock news," she laughed. 

As Maggie reiterates, if you're unhappy with a service, say something.

There's no room for a bad hair day in this cost of living crisis.
