Wife’s act after husband allegedly catches her sexually abusing 15yo son

A nurse who lost her job after her husband allegedly “walked in” on her abusing his son reportedly made an excuse when “caught red-handed”.

The psychology of cheating

The nurse accused of raping her 15-year-old stepson allegedly gave her husband a disturbing excuse after he walked in on it happening.

Alexis Von Yates, 35, has been charged with engaging in “unlawful sexual activity” with a minor after her husband Frank allegedly caught his wife “red-handed” in December last year.

According to court documents, the lineman returned home late after finishing a night shift and found Ms Yates naked on the couch underneath a blanket with the teenage boy.

The healthcare professional then allegedly tried to explain away the incident by apologising and claiming the boy looked just like her husband “when he was younger”, Law & Crime reported.

“The (child victim) heard the suspect telling his father she was sorry, saying the child victim looked like his father when he was younger,” the teen told police, according to an affidavit obtained by the outlet.

Police records state the alleged abuse came to light after officials received an anonymous tip just days after the incident occurred that “included information that the [alleged] child victim’s father had walked in” as it was happening.

The nurse has denied the allegations and is currently awaiting trial, but recently had her medical license revoked by the State of Florida, the New York Post reports.

It is claimed Ms Yates abused her stepson while he was visiting his father for the summer, local Marion County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Prior to the alleged sexual abuse occurring on July 26, 2024, Ms Yates had allegedly engaged in several acts of seduction and overt flirtation toward the minor.

“I bet everyone thought you were my little boy toy,” she allegedly said to her stepson as the pair finished a workout at the gym.

On another occasion, Ms Yates allegedly made a show of making whipped cream and then put some on her tongue and stuck it out at the minor.

“Oh, you like that?” she said, according to the affidavit.

The 15-year-old also told cops that in the week leading up to the alleged sexual encounter, Ms Yates would regularly speak to him about being “horny”, the New York Post added.

On the night of the alleged attack, Ms Yates reportedly put her two children to bed and then hung out with her 15-year-old stepson in the living room, documents claim.

The pair reportedly smoked a THC vape – a chemical found in marijuana plants – and played video games together and watched movies.

But at around 1am, the stepmother turned on a horror movie and then is alleged to have “seduced” the minor — declaring the movie was boring and stating how “horny” she was.

In statements given to police, the boy claimed she told him she was sexually frustrated because “she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period”.

The pair then cuddled, with the 15-year-old said to have kissed Ms Yates first on the neck before it progressed to mouth contact.

At this point, it is claimed Ms Yates allegedly told the boy: “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough”.

Ms Yates then “kicked off” her underwear and the pair engaged in oral sex and intercourse without a condom, according to the affidavit.

About this time, Frank came home from work and is alleged to have discovered his wife and son on the couch, completely naked.

The 15-year-old ran out of the house, but it was at this point that he allegedly heard Ms Yates tell his father that the teen looked like a younger version of his father, the affidavit claimed.

The following day, Ms Yates called the boy to tell him she wished they had kept having sex and that her husband had not discovered them, the affidavit claimed.

She also allegedly asked the 15-year-old to rate her sexual performance, to which he replied, “Seven out of 10”.

A concerned family member reported the incident to police after the boy’s father neglected to call the cops, according to the affidavit.

Ms Yates was arrested in November, according to Ocala News.

The nurse has been charged with felony lewd or lascivious battery with a victim age 12 to 16. She has pleaded not guilty but has lost her job.

“Nurses are placed in a position of trust,” the Florida Department of Health said in an order, according to the outlet.

“Therefore, it is imperative that they demonstrate good judgment and good moral character.”

It went on to state that Ms Yates’ decision to allegedly engage in sexual activity with a minor child “indicates that she lacks the good judgment and moral character necessary to be a registered nurse”.

Ms Yates was arrested and charged with felony lewd or lascivious battery, more commonly known as statutory rape, with a victim age 12 to 16.

She pleaded not guilty to the charge in December.
