A survey from Smile Makers found that a quarter of people have up to five sex toys in their bedside drawer, though most just own one or two. 

From rabbits to plugs, you may have thought you’d seen it all, but teledildonics are an entirely new era of toys.

Another survey found that nine per cent of adults in the US reported using the toys, with 15 per cent of men, five per cent of women, and 13 per cent of gender-diverse people being fans of teledildonics.

There are several articles warning of hacking or people controlling the devices remotely without consent, but as long as the toys are developed with security and safety in mind, teledildonics can be game changers for your sex life, solo or partnered.

Why people are using teledildonics

A research team at the Université du Québec à Montréal conducted a survey of more than 600 men aged 19-75 to figure out why people are using teledildonics. 

More than half of the men used teledildonics to fantasise about sexual activities they couldn’t act out in real life, while 57 per cent used the toys to relax or relieve tension.
