A sweet new stall will join The Royal Adelaide Show this year serving South Australians a unique treat.
Fluffy Crunch, which sells fairy floss burritos, was first established in 2016 when Paola Karamallis and her husband, Michael, opened at local markets in Sydney.
Ms Karamallis, 44, who now runs the stall by herself after her husband died in June, said she is overjoyed to be bringing it to Adelaide.
“This, for me, is out of my comfort zone … we wanted to be part of more royal shows,” she said.
“Every year it becomes more and more popular … we want to make sure Adelaide knows about us too.”
The stall will offer South Australians more than 18 of their unique fairy floss flavours as well as the “flurrito” made up of strawberry fairy floss, vanilla ice-cream, sprinkles and fruit loops.
“It’s not just normal fairy floss, it’s gourmet fairy floss,” Ms Karamallis said.
The dedicated fairy floss maker said she and Michael first got the idea to create the Flurrito when they were asked if they could make something unique.
“We started with a lot of different flavours and ice-cream to find the right combination,” she said.
Fluffy Crunch will be available at the Royal Adelaide Show from September 2 to September 10.
