The best winery restaurant has been awarded to The Lane Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills

An Adelaide Hills winery restaurant has been named Australia’s best but they were not the only locals celebrating. See the list of SA winners.

The best winery restaurant in Australia has been named, and it’s right here in South Australia.

The Lane Vineyard was awarded Best Winery Restaurant in Australia at the 2022 Restaurant and Catering National Awards for Excellence on Monday.

The awards, held in Brisbane, recognised the best cafes, restaurants and service staff across the country.

The Lane Vineyard was also named Best Winery Restaurant at the state awards in August, but this time beat competitors from Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, ACT and Queensland.

“To be recognised as the Best Winery Restaurant in the state was incredibly well deserved. But to take out Best Winery Restaurant in the country is truly special,” The Lane Vineyard chief executive officer Jared Stringer said.

Judges said the restaurant was “immaculately presented from the front gate to the table”.

“The culinary skills in the kitchen were demonstrated in each dish and it was evident as much care was taken with produce as it was the planning of wine matching,

“An amazing all round dining experience in a bright and well set out vibrant dining space. Staff made you feel very special from greeting to farewell, providing a dining experience to remember.” the judges said.

Other SA winners in the awards include Watervale Hotel Restaurant taking gold for Best Restaurant in a Pub/Club, Anthony’s Cucina e Pizzaria for Best Family Dining and Estia for Best Greek Restaurant to name a few.
