'So cute!': Kmart’s $15 mini cookware range is sending fans into a frenzy

While some said it's perfect for single people, others said they'd use it in their campervans or to teach their kids to cook!

It’s a good day to be a fan of absurdly tiny things. Yes, we see you… watching tiny meals made in miniature kitchens on Instagram, squealing as the little spatula flips the cute little eggs. It’s mesmerising stuff.

Now, you can recreate your favourite pint-sized foods from your late-night Insta feeds in your own home. And it’s all thanks to Kmart’s new adorable range of ‘mini’ cookware.

An Aussie TikToker shared the exciting launch, giving her followers a sneak peek into some of her favourite appliances in the collection.

Everything in the mini cookware range is $15

Home organisation influencer and mum @ameliashomeedit begins her clip by announcing, “An icon is born! This is the mini range from Kmart.”

First up, is the $15 Mini Noodle and Multicooker which Amelia said can be used to cook a range of things.

In another video, she even uses it to cook a steak and shows how it's powerful enough to still give you that ‘sizzle’, despite having no temperature control knobs. It also has no on/off switches, you just plug it in and it’s ready to go.

She also used it to cook rice and boiled vegetables like carrots and broccoli to make a complete meal for one.

Next up, is the $15 Mini Bitesize Snack Maker which looks like a sandwich press and comes with two different-sized moulds to make a range of snacks like frittatas, mini muffins, mini cheesecakes and custards.

Amelia puts it to the test and whips up a perfect batch of mini pancakes, egg muffins, bacon and even baked a single-serve cookie. “It works like a convection oven if you close the lid!” Amelia claims.

“It does go slower than a regular oven, obviously, it’s the size of my hand - but it’s fantastic,” she continues.

“It’s like a mini George Foreman.”

While she says these two gadgets are the “pick of the bunch”, she also reveals that there’s a Mini Grill Press which is like a panini press and the Mini Waffle Maker.

"No more sharing the sandwich press in the office!"

Her clip now has a staggering 327k views and while there was a lot of excitement about the range in the comments, others thought it was “useless.”

“This is single people kitchen 🥰” one woman pointed out. “We need this.”

Another said that the Snack Maker would be amazing for toasties at work. “No more shared sandwich press with gluten everywhere!” they said. Someone else agreed saying, “Watch me take these to work to avoid the nasty shared kitchen.”

“Perfect for van/bus life,” a different TikToker commented. Another replied, “Also good for camping if you have power.”

And then this person joked, “I would never need to leave my room.”

“For all those students, young and poor people who can’t afford homes with kitchens because of the cost of living crisis, this is perfect,” mentioned another woman.

“I have the waffle maker and it’s the bomb! Love it and use it all the time,” one happy customer praised.

The range is also great for kids

“This would be cool to teach kids to cook with,” someone suggested.

“My 14-year-old cooked scrambled eggs in the Noodle Cooker and loved it,” one mum shared.

“I’m getting them for my kids, 😂” said another.

“Oooh these are perfect for toddlers! A quick toastie,” concluded someone else.

"Yay, so good or landfill"

But others weren’t so thrilled with the concept.

“Is this for portion control? I think I would need to make things two or three times to be full. They need to be a tiny bit bigger,” someone said.

“How long until these make it to Op shop shelves,” one top comment with 1000 likes said.
