/62Gus from Mawson Lakes was picked up out of a horse paddock at Penfield Gardens on Anzac Day. He was about 6 weeks old, skinny had fleas and ringworm. I took him home to my apartment at Mawson Lakes and he has learnt to wear a harness and goes for walks and to Bunnings to shop with me. He loves to play fetch, is a great soccer player and enjoys car trips. We are planning a trip to the beach when the weather improves. Picture: Debbie Turk
SA’s cutest cats: Part 2
We asked for photos of cute cats — and you delivered! We received so many purr-fect pics, we’ve split them into two galleries. Here are the next 62.
/62Prue from Blackwood is a 3-year-old Chocolate Tortie Burmese and lives up to her reputation as a Naughty Tortie. Prue has a dog called Herbie, a kind and patient 12-year-old Labradoodle. They love playing chasey (Prue always wins) until they end up snuggling in Herbie’s basket at the end of the day. Prue loves visitors, chin-scratches, parkour up the hallway walls, exploring open cupboards, anything warm, going for long walks outside on her lead, and nibbling furniture. Picture: Mikey Coombe
/62Chloe is a rescue cat from Whyalla Norrie. We have had her for 15 years and she is very attached to my wife and loves to eat and sleep. Picture: Simon Schuh
/62Tabitha from Hillbank is 15-years-old but she thinks she is still a kitten. She catches mice and alerts us of any snakes in our yard. She attempts to catch birds but fortunately for the birds fails miserably. Picture: Lina Schaaf
/62Oreo from Torrens Park is our pet cat. She loves to play with her friends which are Border Collies and she loves boxes, eating them and destroy them! She’s not the normal neibourhood cat. Picture: Guy Burnside
/62Billie from Upper Sturt is a Covid cat, working from home allowed us the time to settle her in. She was a very affectionate kitten, as an adult she makes the rules, allows cuddles on her terms and rules the dog. But very cute, with attitude. Picture: Catherine Hutchesson
/62Bones from Hazelwood Park has a lovely temperament, he is known by all the neighbours, and everyone loves him. He was even really good for the vet one day when he had to have an operation and was very compliant. He is a very nice looking cat and has a nice colouring. Picture: Jane Aiello
/62Florence from Clovelly Park is the smartest cat I’ve ever had. She can open doors. She’s the youngest of our 3 cats but she is in charge. She loves our baby son and loves humans. If there are multiple people in our lounge room she will sit in one person’s lap for 10 minutes and then goes to the next person. She loves to share the love. Picture: Sophie Miller
/62Strangie from Port Lincoln is 14, he is a rescue from the mean streets of Melbourne. We have lived in 3 states together and live now in Port Lincoln. He is the ‘man of the house’ with 3 fur brothers and a furless brother and a ‘daddy’. He knows when I’m sick before I do and when my migraines hit he will not leave my side. He is 14 but doesn’t act a day over 2! He has seen it all, the Outback, NSW north beaches, Eyre Peninsula, and Melbourne. He is loved by everyone he meets and our family can’t imagine life without our Patriarch. Picture: Candice Behrndt
/62Atticus from Fullarton is our loving, gentle and adorable Bengal cat. We found him at the RSPCA and myself and my two daughters (aged 8 and 10) fell in love with him at first sight! He looks like a zebra, he's loyal like a lion and he loves like a human! Picture: Shalom Almond
/62Tipsy from Highgate is a playful, happy cat who loves to sunbake and run around. She is part of our family. Picture: Nicholas Piliouras
/62My little girl Pee Wee, from Tea Tree Gully. Once a little stray hanging out on the side of the road, trying to find a place to call her own. Entered our home as a foster, soon to be a permanent part of the family. 7-months-old now and just oozes cuteness! Floofy and cute! Picture: Sarah Mehrtens
/62This is almost 2-year-old Winston Francis from Cowandilla, affectionately known as Winnie. Don’t be fooled by his elegant, model poses, it’s all for the gram! Behind closed kitty doors, he is mischievous and cunning and can get into any small spaces, including the built in robe where the designer goods are! He’s got champagne taste (on a beer budget) like his human mum and is athletic with a tinge of red like his human dad. It’s the purrfect combo. Picture: Kendell Gador
/62Pixie from Flagstaff Hill is a 9-year-old Devon Rex. Extremely gentle and loves the sun. Picture: Linda Broadbent
/62Maisy from Wynn Vale is very docile and a little bit anxious at times to new people. She runs the house, don’t all cats. She loves dinner time and waits at the food bowl right at 7’oclock. She has a little dot under her chin so it always looks like she’s gasping. Picture: Alison Kisielicki
/62Bane from Woodcroft is almost 1, he was found by RSPCA SA at 3-weeks-old. He is an absolute sook, a terror and an absolutely mummy’s boy all in one. A big ball of fluff, has a unique squeak rather then meow so gets nicknamed squiggles. He absolutely adores is 3 year old “brother” cuddles, cleaning and then wrestling each other. Picture: Courtney Byrne
/62Little Mishka from Tusmore loves her cuddles, her playtime, her toys, and is a shadow – that's what her profile said when we bought her from The Cat Adoption Foundation in December 2019. And she's living up to it, plus much more! Perfect description for an affectionate cat, and yet has her own independent streak, doing the things she likes or wants too. Easiest cat to look after, so laid-back and relaxed as you can see in photo, certainly a great companion lap cat. Loves drinking from tap or sink – our water cat who doesn't mind getting her head and feet wet! She brings us so much laughter, joy and love. Cats are certainly Heaven on Earth! Picture: Serena Gall
/62Holly and Spirit from Klemzig. We have two adopted white domestic cats, both from different litters but they both have a black mark on their heads. They are inseparable and the most loving kittens we could have ever asked for. They loved being picked and walked around the house like babies. Being the best thing for our children and they match their energy. Life is just better with cats! Picture: Carina Griffiths
/62Toby from Happy Valley is a very energetic and playful kitty. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if he’s actually a dog or not. Sometimes all he wants is pets and cuddles but he won’t miss an opportunity to play either. He must love the sound of his voice as he likes talking every second of the day and especially in the middle of the night where he sings as loud as he can. Picture: Collette Alfar
/62SA's cutest cat, Cleo from Modbury North is 16-weeks-old and absolutely one in a million. She is very affectionate and cuddly but crazy as well. She loves just rolling around on the floor and sneaking under the quilt at night for cuddles. Cleo also think she's a hairdresser as she constantly plays with your hair when she's laying around on the lounge. She is my baby girl who helped me recover from surgery with her love and cuddles. Picture: Lisa King
/62Caspian from Athelstone is a Siberian Forest cat who is very beautiful, very naughty and very loved. Picture: Christine Page
/62Jordan from Happy Valley is a very posh and fancy cat. He loves sleeping all day and all night, and especially loves affection. Always following or sleeping next to his favourite person in the house. He will warm up to other members in the house only for food and as soon as you give it to him, he runs away as if nothing ever happened. Picture: Collette Alfar
/62Fritz from Waikerie is seven-years-old and is my absolute baby. She is my best friend in life, she is always there to cheer me up. She loves me as much as I love her. Picture: Emily Sheehan
/62Bokoko from Athelstone is a big himbo who loves people so so much, and accidentally runs into walls when over excited. He has no sense of personal space, and loves to play with his siblings, especially the German Shepard ‘Mouse’, of which play consists of hiding under a table and pretending to be a motorbike. Picture: Elizabeth Flaherty
/62Skyler from Erindale is a little rescue cat – she’s the type of cat that sits right in the middle of busy family action. She can also be found in the most random spots like when you open a sock draw. During the night she sneaks into each of the kids rooms to snooze with them and occasionally waken them to play with her in the middle of the night. When she’s not doing that she is quietly snoozing at the end of mum and dad’s bed. Picture: Trish Ind
/62Saffron from Netherby is a little feral rescue kitten to queen of our home. Saffie rules the house and we are all her willing servants. Picture: T Cowain
/62Millie from Glenside knows she is beautiful and acts accordingly. Whenever a car pulls up or someone rings the doorbell she runs to the door to greet them with a hello.rnShe is very chatty and talks a lot when you speak to her. Picture: Claire Lawler
/62Ted and Fred from Fullarton are mysterious, wonderful, loving, silly and adventurous. They make us laugh. They are also useful as they are alarm cats … we always know if we have visitors. Life wouldn’t be the same without the terrible twins! Picture: Emma Hall
/62SA's cutest cat, George from Glenelg North is a rescue, he is only a year and a half old but a very big cat already. He is incredibly affectionate and such a pretty boy. Picture: Sophie Coombes
/62Holly from Fairview Park is a little bundle of love. She's a British Shorthair but for a bigger breed she's a bit special. She's almost 2-years-old but is still the size of a 6 month old (the runt) compared to her sister who is just about fully grown. That doesn't get in her way though because her personality and mischief more than makes up for it. Everyone that visits always gets a hello, a kiss (lick) and a cuddle. We call her our forever kitten, little bear or little lion because of the way she struts around like she's out in the safari. She'll always be small but just like those big orange eyes, she'll always make everyone's day brighter. Picture: Sarah Agius
/62Choo Choo Bean from Rostrevor. When not posing in his pudding, my kitty loves to fetch! He proudly trots to me with pens and pencils in his mouth. Choo Choo Bean even fetches my morning toothbrush! Picture: Roz Taylor
/62Brooke Forrester from Joslin Clutterham-Pudney, aka The Boo. The Boo has a bit of an attitude. By that, we mean she likes her way. But that is not the only thing. She loves, pats and cuddles, and to be with other people. She was born very small but healthy. She is such a delight and we love her! Picture: Claire Clutterham
/62Taylor Forrester from Joslin Clutterham-Pudney, aka Tay-Tay. Tay-Tay rules the house, with her sister Boo beside her. Tay-Tay’s main motivation in life is to source biscuits. She prefers a fresh mouthful every time. She loves cuddles and we love her fluffy and beautiful nature. She brings us joy every day! Picture: Claire Clutterham
/62Mooshka from Fullarton is a playful, adventurous, friendly Siamese chocolate point cat. She is a real love bug and will do anything for a cuddle. She is a great family pet for us all. Mooshka loves to talk to humans all day long. Our favourite part about her is when we come home she will be purring her head off laying in a fluffy blanket. She is very intelligent and smart towards humans and other animals. She acts like she owns the house with her loyal and talkative personality. Picture: Brenda King
/62Molly from Hallett Cove is a very well travelled cat. She was discovered as a newborn in an abandoned litter, along with her siblings hidden beneath an Aboriginal health clinic in Kununurra, WA back in 2021. Molly was adopted by my partner Jill, a South Aussie performing Aboriginal health work and Vax nursing in WA. Molly bravely accompanied Jill, driving all over WA to various clinical postings for a year. When Jill took a position on Christmas Island, Molly was not allowed to accompany her, due to strict quarantine regulations. So Jet-Setter Molly flew from Perth to Adelaide. I have been caring for her until Jill returns home to SA in December. Molly is very affectionate and loves human company. She has taken over my home and my heart. Picture: Frank Savage
/62Adi from Hectorville is a floofy 2-year-old boy adopted during Covid. he love his food and is not afraid of letting you know if dinner is served late. Picture: Katrina Li

/62This is Dusty Springfield, from Stirling. When we adopted him, the shelter said he was a girl, but he is actually a male, so we say he is named after Slim Dusty- although he is far from that. He loves food, and has learnt that word. When he hears any word that remotely sounds like food- mood, subdued, lewd- he will immediately think it is time for dinner. Here he is in the picnic basket, hoping to come along. Picture: Catlin Langford
/62Zane from Myponga is a rescue kitty who was found in an old mattress along with his siblings at approximately 24-48 hours old. Since being rescued he's turned into the most amazing, confident & outgoing young cat who just loves his dog friends and all humans and can usually be found sleeping in the most weird and wonderful places. Picture: Billy Valentine

/62Luca from Daw Park is a six-month-old lilac Burmese, and is the cutest, most playful kitten! He jumps all over his older siblings, and plays catch with his favourite toys. Luca is an indoor only cat, who loves snuggling any time of the day or night. He has the distinctive trait of a kink in the tip of his tail. Legend has it that Burmese breeds developed kinked tails because princesses would place their rings on their cat’s tail when bathing. Picture: Tanya Sharpe

/62Hi my name is Leonti from Para Hills and I’m a Siberian Forrest cat. I love sleeping all day, eating fresh filleted whiting and playing fetch like a doggie. I sleep in my own bed, love going on walks on my leash and have a lot of love for my family. I’m often mistaken for a girl based on my purr-fect looks, beauty spots and outgoing personality. I love when my parents entertain guests so I can greet them at the door, give them a cuddle and sometimes fall asleep on them. Thank you for reading about me, catch up after my cat nap! Picture: Anna Mazzotta

She has had diabetes for more than half her life, has thyroid disease, is missing an eye and suffers from awful arthritis, yet she still manages to purr through life at almost 17 years of age with all the sass of a 17 week old kitten. I don’t know which cat she stole some lives from, but I’m certain she has used up more than the usual 9. I’m so glad she has been able to have a good long life! Picture: Bianca Barrett
/62Simba from Woodside is a Siberian Forest Cat, came to us as a rescue, he has rather a penchant for sleeping and eating with a very quirky personality, he now spends his life indoors, mostly on his back, big floods belly on show, sleeping. Picture: Kraig Murtaugh
