Footy fans can get into the swing of a different sport at the SANFL’s new X-Golf franchise at West Lakes.
The 1000sq m venue will feature six golf simulators, an 18-hole Hey Caddy minigolf course, a full-service kitchen and a licensed bar in the former “Magarey” function room above the SANFL’s Mosaic Hotel.
SANFL chief executive Darren Chandler said the venue will cater for golfers hoping to improve their game, or more casual sport fans.
“X-Golf and Hey Caddy will offer exciting year-round entertainment for players of all ages and abilities, from weekend hackers to scratch golfers, beginners and everyone in between,” he said.
Owned and managed by the SANFL, X-Golf West Lakes gives patrons the opportunity to virtually play courses from around the world, such as the famed Pebble Beach course in the US, while the Hey Caddy miniature golf course is suitable for families and those looking for a more casual experience.
X-Golf West Lakes will also offer lessons from a resident golf pro, kids’ birthdays, school programs, corporate events and parties.
