A group of teenagers were involved in a shocking brawl on the last night of the Royal Adelaide Show on Saturday, resulting in police arresting a young woman.

Footage obtained by 7NEWS showed the group of teenagers throwing punches at each other, and a woman being escorted out of the premises in handcuffs by police.

Police were alerted to the incident at 9.30pm, after reports of a disturbance within the showgrounds.

While officers were evicting several people from the grounds, a 20-year-old woman punched one in the face, police said.

SA Police said the officer was not seriously injured and did not require hospital treatment.

A Mount Barker woman was charged with assaulting an emergency worker, and bailed to attend the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 15.

The nine day event left organisers believing that attendance was in line with last year while stallholders reported mixed results amid the cost of living crisis.

Premier Peter Malinauskas enjoyed the final day of the Royal Adelaide Show with his family, taking a ride on the Big Dipper.

“I’ve got to say it was pretty hectic,” he said, adding his kids get “a couple of showbags” and “they’ve got a budget they’ve got to work within”.

Rebecca Miller, owner of Little Glow Candle Co, said her sales overall were “the same as last year” but it was “feast or famine” she said.

“On Saturday it was so busy, no one could get food …(but for) the three days (before) it was really quiet.”

Stall worker Nicola from the Bubbles stall said this year she noticed the cost of living pressures on parents who were forced to “pick and choose what to buy for their kids”.

Cheyenne Venables, who works at the Fairy Floss stall, saying this year the show has been “all right”.

“It wasn’t as busy as the last two years,” she said.

“There aren’t as many people because the prices of everything have increased.”

Essential oils distributor Jodi Naylor hired a van with her husband and drove from the Blue Mountains in New South Wales to take part.

“Customers would only walk by and look … it’s been such an expense to come and it’s not been worth it.”

Ms Naylor said she would consider returning with her dōTERRA products if organisers, who she praised for being “great to deal with”, lowered stall hire costs.
