They flout the social distancing rules in the best possible ways, but amid the coronavirus pandemic, it’s our pets that are turning boss when it comes to working from home.

Dogs all over South Australia are lapping up having owners at home to pester for walks to give them a break from work, or just sleep at their human’s feet.

Cats? Well, they are still indifferent as usual – but supportive in their own special, judgmental way.

Stories have also emerged of wannabe fur friends: A possum who prefers office hours (see photo below) and of bird intruders: “I just had a piping shrike in my house and it crapped everywhere!”.

Take a look at some of the adorable fur babies lending a paw to help South Australia’s workers through tough times working through office shutdowns.
