Baby name-shaming is a thing in 2023. A major thing.

If you post your baby's name online and it's not from the Bible, or you wouldn't find it in a cemetery, it will most definitely be mocked in some corner of the interwebs.

Because while as a society we are embracing individualism, there is still such a thing as a 'socially acceptable' baby name; and Holden Commodore is not it.

Which is why a recent viral post with almost 2k comments will come as no surprise: people have been asked to confess their 'Guilty Pleasure' baby names that they'd never dare use.

What's Your Guilty Pleasure Name?

It seems just for funsies, someone posted on Reddit:

"What's Your Guilty Pleasure Name? What's your absolute favorite name? Maybe you'll be naming your baby this or maybe even though you absolutely love it, you're not gonna use the name because you hate you'll get to it or maybe your husband or family hates it."

Now brace yourself for the most epic responses. Here are our top 10 favourites.

1."Fable. It's a little too out there for me and my husband hates it."

2."Remington. I love how it sounds but could never name my kid after a gun."

3."River. I love it but my husband vetoed it for our daughter."

4."Andromeda. Especially with the nickname Andi. It's a bit out there though."

5. "Mildred. It's not usually a name people like so I wouldn't use it. I named my daughter something more popular but not in the top 10 most used names. But I really like Mildred. I can't explain it. If it was more socially acceptable for this generation, I'd have used it."

6. "Lemon, Cricket, Pepper - love them all but don't think I could do it."

7. "I love the name Daisy but it's our dog's name. So it just belongs to the dog for me lol."

8. "Cinnamon. I wish I had the courage because I love it so much."

That last entry was obviously from Kim Kardashian (joking!).

And the honourable mention is a beautiful one: "Anneliese. I've loved it ever since I read Anne Frank's diary and found out that was her birth name. But I could never."
