Parents are being urged to immediately stop using a baby clothing item sold at Target over fears the outfit may cause a loss of circulation and lead to severe injury.
Product Safety Australia (PSA) has recalled the pink Peter Rabbit newborn unisex faux fur bunnysuit which was sold at Target stores nationally and online between 15 April and 10 May this year.
The pink onesie, made by Designworks International, was available in sizes newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and 24 months.
“Loose threads inside the garment may entangle arms or legs,” the PSA recall notice states.
“Entanglement may cause a loss of circulation leading to severe injury.”
Parents and carers are advised to set themselves a reminder on their phone to check whether they have the bunnysuit at home.
PSA said consumers should stop using the bunnysuit immediately and to return the product to Target for a full refund.
Consumers can contact Designworks International by emailing recall@designwcc.com.au or by calling 03 8823 8221 from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
