A viral video has captured the moment high-school sweethearts got engaged almost 60 years after graduating.
In the video, Thomas is seen waiting at Tampa International Airport in Florida for his beloved Nancy to get off a plane.
The video shows Thomas get down on one knee to read a prepared speech to Nancy as she sobs and holds his hand.

Nancy clearly said yes, as the clip ends with shots of the couple and their friends celebrating the engagement with handmade signs and balloons.
The video amassed more than one million views on TikTok before commenters convinced the poster to upload the video of Thomas’ speech.
She did, and that video gained 2.3 more views thanks to Thomas’ adorable speech.

"Your beauty inside and out has always captivated me"
The extended video shows Thomas greeting Nancy with a hug, a bouquet of flowers and some jewelry before placing a small pillow on the ground to protect his knee.
“My dearest Nancy, it’s been 60 years since we first met, 56 years since we first dated, 10 years since I saw you last and 20 days since we rekindled,” Thomas said.
“You have always been the one I had a crush on since your cheerleader days. Brings a smile to my face and makes my heart skip a beat.
“Your beauty inside and out has always captivated me. Your kindness and compassion to those less fortunate … have touched my heart.
“You are everything I’ve ever wanted in a partner, lover and friend, and so, Nancy, I come to you humbly today June 30th with a proposal.
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you to cherish every moment we will have together, to make every day an exciting new adventure, to grow old with you and wake up in your arms every morning, to share our dreams and aspirations, to laugh and cry and support one another through thick and thin.
“I love you more than words can express, more than you could ever comprehend. I want to spend the rest of my life proving that to you, making you the happiest woman in the world.”

Nancy didn’t disappoint, nodding ‘yes’ at the end of Thomas’ moving speech when he proposed.
People were quick to gush over the couple on TikTok.
