North West's 'ridiculous' birthday gift to Kim is peak Gen Alpha

We all know that North loves to prank her mum, but this is on another level.

Every mum has received their fair share of questionable birthday gifts over the years, whether it’s a heartfelt DIY attempt, a cleaning supply, or an ugly piece of jewellery.

Now, after celebrating her 44th birthday this week, Kim Kardashian can say she officially relates, with a unique gift from her eldest child North West making headlines around the world.

The necklace says WHAT?

Kim shared a series of videos to her Instagram story on her birthday, showing some of the gifts she received this year.

The one that stuck out the most was a diamond pavé necklace from daughter North, worth $20 000. The necklace, however, features a silver plaque with an engraving that couldn’t be more Gen Alpha.

“Okay, North got me this diamond necklace that says, ‘Skibidi toilet.’ Wow,” Kim says in the video, showing off the engraving.

North can be heard in the background, explaining her unique choice.

“Because you love skibidi toilet,” she said.

The back of the necklace simply reads ‘Love North 10/21/24’.

‘This is literally ridiculous’

X account @PopBase shared the news yesterday, and many commenters were not impressed.

“This is exactly why kids shouldn’t have access to excessive wealth,” said one user.

“Skibidi toilet will NEVER be funny,” added another.

“I’m sorry but this is literally ridiculous,” said a third.

However, others were impressed by North’s originality.

“People ragging on this but honestly I think it’s cute,” one commenter said.

“What a unique gift, North!” praised another.

Thankfully, Kim seemed to receive some more wholesome gifts from her other children, including a pink and white balloon display with each holding a photo or message.

“Look what ChiChi and the kids made for me,” Kardashian said in another Instagram story, referring to daughter Chicago.

“They made me balloons but with hanging messages and pictures of each of us.”
