'My heart stopped when I heard a man moaning from the baby monitor'

A mum described the blood-curdling moment she heard a perverted groan come from her baby's room.

Icy chills rippled through Victoria's body when she heard an unfamiliar male voice making inappropriate noises coming from the baby cam in her newborn's room.

The shocking revelation of a stranger watching your every move inside what is supposed to be a safe space is a nightmare the 25-year-old new mum experienced.

Victoria, who works as a social media influencer, explained that she got the device for free in return for positive feedback on social media networks.

But what she didn't expect was for her privacy to be invaded in her own home.

The young mother shared the blood-curdling moment that she heard what sounded like a man groaning while watching her one-year-old baby.

She reportedly caught the unknown offender after she suddenly heard her daughter crying one day - however, she says the Lollipop Smart Baby Monitor did not report the noise.

 "The camera runs through an app and pretty much always gives me a notification when my child is crying or loud. Or if there is any loud noise in the area at all,” she explained.

"I sometimes ran in front of this camera naked"

This clearly was not the case as she opened the app connected to the camera and heard the most revolting groan coming from a stranger.

Appalled by the disturbing sound, she then instantly switched her camera off and reported it to the police.

"Everything that happened in the bedroom, in my four walls," she said.

"Breastfeeding, me sometimes walking around naked, this stranger seeing my daughter sleeping. Nobody sees that. And that, to me, is just incredibly uncomfortable and terribly cruel.

"After taking a shower, I sometimes ran in front of this camera naked. I changed my baby in front of it!"

"They wrote that my allegations are false and I should apologise"

Victoria reported the hacking to the manufacturer who allegedly told her that her allegations were false and requested that she apologise.

"They also wrote that my allegations are false and that I should apologise," she claimed.

The terrified mother shared a screengrab of the camera on her Instagram account and described her terrifying experience with her 32K followers.

"That's why I never used a baby monitor"

Her followers replied with their thoughts on the incident.

“That's why I never use a baby phone that runs over WiFi," replied one mother.

 "That's why I never used a baby phone. You don't need to find something like this. You hear your baby crying when it wakes up," another parent judged.

 "That's why we use Philips Avent baby phones..s Really scary something like that,” a fellow concerned parent suggested. 

Kidspot contacted Lollipop Baby Camera and had not heard back at time of publication.
