When a woman received a fine for being on her phone while driving – she was very confused to say the least.
The Sydney mum was slapped with a whopping $362 penalty while driving along the Princes Highway in Tempe when she was caught by the camera between Brodie Spark Drive and Holbeach Avenue at 7.29am on February 10.
Convinced that there must be some kind of mistake – she requested to view the images from Transport NSW, 7NEWS.com.au reports.
This was when she discovered what the problem was...
She quickly realised that she was not holding an actual mobile phone, but in fact, it was her daughter’s bright blue toy phone from the popular children’s TV series Bluey.
However, it wasn’t obvious that the phone was fake as the images were black and white.
The supposed infringement also cost the horrified mum five demerit points stripped from her driver’s licence.
Transport for NSW spokesperson Tara McCarthy told 7NEWS.com.au that these type of incidents were “unusual” and that the penalty in question will be reviewed.

Mum fined for holding daughter's Bluey phone
This comes a Kidspot spoke to a Brisbane mum last week who was whacked with a $400-fine because she was pumping milk while her husband drove them back home after a wedding.
“I was still breastfeeding my son three times a day and because I didn’t get a chance to pump at the wedding, I thought the drive home would be the best time to do it because we weren’t getting home until around midnight and I was already nice and full,” the 28-year-old tells Kidspot.“If I waited until I got home, I would have had to stay awake another 30 minutes to get it done.”

Mum fined for pumping milk from front seat
Rianna never expected that something she has done numerous times before would have her suddenly breaking the law.
Traffic cameras on the Pacific Highway on the Gold Coast had photographed Rianna wearing her seat belt “incorrectly”.
The mum-of-one had moved the seat belt strap to sit below her breasts just for a few moments while she was attaching and removing the pump and adjusting her clothing.
“I had my dress unbuttoned - luckily I hadn’t exposed anything,” the mum says frustratingly.
“I was either just about to or had just finished pumping both breasts. The seatbelt was on me normally the whole time I was actually pumping, so to have this happen was really shocking timing.”
