In a scandal that’s been dubbed ‘Paddington Poo Jogger 2.0’, a middle-aged woman has been caught in the midst of a shameless act.

A Sydney resident has publicly shamed another local for their shameless act of “pooping” on their lawn.
After repeatedly discovering faeces in their backyard, the frustrated homeowner decided to install CCTV cameras around their property to catch the anonymous offender.
Once they secured the evidence, they posted a flyer with the incriminating photo and a stern message for the culprit on a tree outside their home.
Another resident took notice and snapped a picture of the flyer, sharing it on Reddit with the caption: “Rather strange poster on a tree.”
The flyer read: “ATTENTION LADY?! Please stop pooping in my backyard! My grandchildren play there! It’s disgusting! This is not the first time! I have cameras everywhere because of you! So please stop!”
The accompanying photo showed a middle-aged woman with her pants down, seemingly caught in the act on a patch of grass near a gutter.
The incident was captured by CCTV at 6:24am.
“Krapping Karen,” joked one commenter, while another described it as “grotty”.
One shocked viewer wrote, “What is wrong with people?! Seriously?!”
Another person suggested that the homeowner should publicly shame her further, asking why they didn’t post a clearer shot of her face.
However, another commenter pointed out that the grandparent might have better footage and may be hoping that the embarrassment from the flyer would be enough to deter her from doing it again.
Someone else joked the woman was “a close friend of the Paddington poo jogger.”
In 2019, the mystery of the Paddington “poo jogger” captivated the state when a woman was caught squatting outside the office of Sydney PR maven Roxy Jacenko in the affluent eastern suburbs.
She was busted relieving herself on CCTV footage outside Jacenko’s Sweaty Betty office, and the clips were shared in a series of videos on Instagram which have since been deleted after Jacenko faced backlash.
The story gained international attention, prompting a police investigation, but the jogger’s identity remains unknown to this day.
A person who claimed to be a friend of the “poo jogger” contacted the Shameless podcast and told them, “I actually know this woman and she’s not doing well.
“And there is so much more backstory to this footage that you cannot communicate on social media, and if people knew what was going on in this woman’s life they would not be behaving in this way.”
Just months later during the pandemic, another Sydney suburb was rocked by similar claims.
In the inner-west suburb of Marrickville, a “human poo-er” stirred controversy after someone posted a strongly worded note on their house, calling out the person for using their garage as a toilet.
The note began with the writer acknowledging that “Covid-19 is tough on everyone,” but politely requested that the person stop their inappropriate behaviour.
“Dear Mystery Human Poo-er,” it started. “We have installed this fence and a camera to hand over to the police. We understand that Covid-19 is tough on everyone, but please stop s**ting in our garage.”
The note graphically described the waste and added, “Also, make sure you chew your food better. Whatever it is that makes it sticky, I’d get that checked.”
It concluded by directing them to a nearby public toilet.
Since then, several copycat incidents have emerged, including a tradie in Melbourne being caught dropping his dacks in a gutter and a man defecating on a car’s bonnet in Griffith.
So, could this disturbing trend be back?
It looks like it... but as we learnt from the Paddington saga, public shaming isn’t always the best way to go and there may be more to the story.
