Trying to relax face down at the beach can be a little awkward.

 

You might be trying to read or scroll on your phone by propping yourself up on your elbows, only to realise minutes later that it's super uncomfortable (and you should probably do more yoga!)

But now, a nifty new beach chair from Kmart has solved this dilemma once and for all.

The $39 Kmart beach must-have

The Salerno Lounger Face Down is a revolutionary sun lounger that means you can lay face down, like on a massage table, as there's a hole for your face in the chair.

Retailing for just $39, the lounger also features two cut-outs for your arms, so that you can comfortably, scroll, read or snack, while laying on your stomach. 

TikToker @adventureswithfloss posted about the product to her account, and the clip quickly amassed over a million views.

"This is your PSA to buy the $39 Kmart sun lounger," she wrote over a clip of her and a friend lying on them while eating a packet of chips.

According to the Kmart website, the Salerno lounger is "an ideal pick for camping, trekking and more."

It features a retro striped print, a side pouch and a detachable pillow. To make it portable, it also has carry handles and is collapsible.

"This is actually a necessity"

Viewers were immediately obsessed with the concept. 

"OMG, I need this," one fan wrote. "Perfect Christmas present," said someone else. 

"This is living," pointed out a different user. "Wait this is smart," claimed another viewer. 

"This is actually a necessity," another said. 

The loungers appear to be sold out online, but commenters confirmed they're still available in-store. 

"I went to Kmart today and they had plenty," one person said.

Another confirmed, "Just picked mine up on the weekend!"

However, something to consider before buying one is that the maximum weight capacity is 100 kilograms. 

One shopper with this concern commented, "My boyfriend sat on it and broke it."

Remember to always wear sunscreen when exposed to the sun and re-apply often.
