Kmart fans obsessed with $15 Frank Green dupe

Kmart fans have gone wild on social media for a $15 dupe of a popular designer water bottle.

New $45 Kmart side-table stuns

We all agree that drinking water is important, especially in summer when we’re schvitzing like fountains in the heat and humidity.

And there’s no denying drinking water out of an aesthetically-pleasing bottle with excellent insulation makes the experience a whole lot more special.

But what if you could drink from a container that looks beautiful, keeps your water icy cold and is cheap as chips? Surely that’s got to be the pinnacle of water-drinking, Kidspot reports.

Introducing Kmart’s ace insulated ceramic water bottle. Frank Green and your $60 bottles, eat your heart out.

A mum raved about the Kmart dupe on a popular Facebook page, and it had fans of the store cheering.

“Get yourself one of these drink bottles from Kmart – $15,” she wrote.

“Put ice in at 3:30pm and it’s still frozen now (at 10:53pm). Hasn’t even started to melt, plus the bonus of no condensation on the outside of the bottle.”

Brilliant.

The mum recommended the bottle for those hot school days when kids are running around and desperate for refreshment.

“Might be a good way to keep the kids’ drinks cold in this hot weather. Have also used for water and have had no leaks,” she added.

In the morning, the mum checked back in, reporting that the ice cubes were still frozen. Is there anything this water bottle can’t do?

Other parents weighed in, sharing their experience with the bottle.

“My kids take theirs to school. I put cold water and some ice cubes in and it’s still icy cold when they get home. Plus bonus this afternoon, we went for a three-hour drive straight from school to [the] Gold Coast and it was still good. And yes, no condensation,” one mum said.

Some users labelled it a “poor man’s Frank Green”.

“I’ve been looking for an insulated straw bottle for ages that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! It’s so good,” said one person.

“LOL my daughter calls hers Frank Pink and Frank Blue,” said another person.

Others had tested how long ice cubes would last in the bottle.

“We put ice in ours while at Disney World and it lasted nearly three days!” one person said.

Another fan raved, “All the Kmart insulated products have been amazing. I’ve had the steel bottle version for like two years now, no damage at all.”

One person didn’t think the bottles were much to look at – but that function trumps form.

“I LOVE that you shared this drink bottle – it’s something that is a needed item but I feel most people buy a bottle based on the look – but keeping drinks cold trumps everything for me,” she said.

“Enjoy the bottle – it will last a LONG time.”
