'I opened up a packet of ALDI bacon and got the rudest shock'

There is A LOT to unpack here, specifically - is this really what she thinks it is? And if not, WHAT THE HELL IS IT?!

Cheese and bacon doughnuts

We've written stories about mould in food pouches and dirty bandaids in yoghurt, and the thing they all have in common is that something is inside food when it really shouldn't be.

But this story isn't about what's been found in a food item, rather - something has been taken out. A bite, to be specific.

Yes, a human bite. Out of some ALDI bacon.

ALLEGEDLY, we must add, but like... take a look for yourself, friends. It's a bloody bite!

"I really want to know what the story is here!"

A woman shared the unbelievable sight on the ALDI Fans Australia page, writing, " I got a rude shock to find a human bite out of my Berg shortcut bacon twin pack."

She added: "I have sent ALDI information regarding it, and I am waiting to hear back.

"I am unable to contact the store or speak to anyone in regards to inspecting other on-shelf stock. So maybe avoid, unless, of course, you don't mind."

Group members were equally shocked, and hundreds took to the comments to share their thoughts.

"Oh dear, I bet the ALDI customer service crew got a laugh out of this complaint," someone wrote.

Another saw the funny side of the photo, writing: "I'm giggling a little here. Someone got peckish."

"I really, really, really want to know what the story is here!" a third wrote, echoing the curiosities of others.

"Not a bite"

However, not everyone was convinced it actually was a human bite, with some arguing it might have happened during manufacturing.

"Definitely not a bite. Unless they have deformed teeth and jaw structure," one woman claimed.

"It's too neat and even to be a bite. Disconcerting, regardless," a second noted.

"I'd say while it was all one piece, something was cut around a piece of bone etc. then when it goes through the slicer, the pieces move, and the edges fray,' a third theorised.

Meanwhile, someone else suggested that it could be the regular manufacturing process for cutting out cysts.

And if that's true, then that doesn't make us feel any better, to be honest! Chuck out the entire cyst-y bacon please, and don't try to cut around it!
