'I have three!': The $29 ALDI dupe people will be lining up for

 This cosy family favourite is perfect for the end of winter! Do you have one?

There are some ALDI special buys that are more special than others, and this $29 winter classic is already generating a buzz online after ALDI announced it would be back again in July - at the same price as last year!

Originally launched in 2022, the ALDI ‘snuggle hoodie’, a dupe of the popular Oodie brand that retails for closer to $100, was a huge fan favourite. It sold out almost as quickly as it hit the coveted middle aisle. 

The 2024 price freeze of $29 is another reason ALDI shoppers can expect big queues on its 20 July release date.

"Cosy and fun!"

The new range for 2024 is made of the same ‘ultra soft’ polyester fleece with sherpa lining with a front ‘kangaroo’ pouch pocket to pop your phone or snacks in. 

The cosy and fun 'one size fits most' hoodies come in a range of colours and designs including for the first time this year, a pale blue with donut and black with hamburger design for us adults.

The cute kids version retails for just $19.99 and comes in either unicorn, dinosaur or watermelon styles. They also come in special glow-in-the-dark designs to light up the long dark evenings.

All variations of the snuggle hoodie pack down into a travel friendly carry pouch.

In tough economic times, the ALDI snuggle hoodies offer an affordable alternative to the Oodie, keeping budget conscious Aussies warm and stylish this winter. 

When the snuggle hoodies first launched in 2022, customers on the the ALDI Mums facebook group page were among the first in line. With dozens posting to say that by the time they got to their local ALDI store, the hoodies had sold out.

"Only one left!"

“[There] was only one left unwrapped at my local a couple hours after opening,” said one disappointed mum.

A second had a similar experience: “Went to get one today but there were only kids sizes left!”

For those who took the plunge, many felt very happy with their purchase.

"They are SOOOO cozy... It's like someone hugging you, constantly,” said one mum.

Another agreed: “Yes they are great - I bought the pink and charcoal as I like plain colours - they are so warm - I have three now!”

Even the OG Oodie lovers felt a sense they might be missing out on the fun over at ALDI.

“I love my Oodie and always will, but these cheaper ones are awesome still and an amazing price for those that can't afford them," said one ALDI mum.

"If these came out before I got an Oodie two years ago then I would have saved my money and got one, but I have the Oodie and still love it so I'm glad to see they have these for people that can't afford the $100 ones.”
