Savvy shoppers across Australia are scrambling to get their hands on an exclusive outdoor product from Bunnings.
The popular Hangout pod, a luxury family hammock bed, retails for only $69 and has customers scouring Bunnings stores and stock sites to monitor their next shipment.
The portable hammock set, originally priced at $269, comes with a mosquito cover, stand and has a 200kg weight limit for the entire family to enjoy.
Bunnings confirmed to Yahoo lifestyle that the product was only available in very limited stock numbers when it hit stores late last year.
One disappointed shopper wrote on Facebook the popular pod was “wiped out” across the country within two hours after sharing stock numbers online.
“Have to be quick. Hope they get more in stock,” one person wrote on Facebook.
Other buyers are travelling interstate to pick up their online orders of the summer essential.
“So happy, I got one of the Hangout Pod Grey Set from Kotara just did an over the phone purchase last one,” one lucky shopper said.
“I’m desperate for one!” another commented.
If you’re looking to score the bargain hammock bed, check local stores for availability but the hardware store currently has no plans to restock the item.
This isn’t the only item from the hardware store that shoppers have been desperate to get their hands on, with one Aussie going viral on TikTok after sharing her “genius” Bunnings hack.
Maddy Ryan is one of countless consumers doing their bit for the planet by buying a reusable water bottle.
But the Victorian woman quickly discovered her 1-litre Frank Green canister sadly doesn’t fit in her car’s pre-existing drink holders.
Multiple brand’s have since created an insert that sits allows a standard drink holder to fit a larger bottle – but those can cost upwards of $30.
Maddy however, had other ideas.
The water lover headed to Bunnings where she purchased a piece of tapered PVC piping for just $11.05.
The 100 x 65mm PVC DWV Taper Level Invert slotted easily into her drink holder, which then in turn held her pink water bottle perfectly.
After, the clever shopper shared her “hack” on TikTok where it has subsequently blown up.
“Work smarter not harder #frankgreen,” Maddy captioned the short video which has been viewed over 2 million times in less than 24 hours.
Many were quick to commend the “hack” declaring it the “best ever” – as others said they were going direct to the hardware store to snap the item up.
