Former Channel 7 star Sally Obermeder has given her followers a glimpse into her immaculately organised pantry following a “deep clean”.

The mother-of-two shared photos of her kitchen storeroom showing off four shelves of neatly stacked containers that feature an affordable Kmart item.

“I know this isn’t for everyone but – I’ve hit my personal peak joy. Deep cleaning and deep reorganising of the pantry … then the study nook, then the closets. I am so happy,” she said in the Instagram post.

Sally, who is also the co-founder of wellness brand, SWIISH, used $3 chalkboard labels from Kmart on her plastic jars to give it a stylish and consistent look.

She stored the jars on the lower shelves which included things such her wellness powders, a tub of assorted bread, breakfast cereals, lentils, dates and rice — while the top two shelves were dominated by bigger, glass jars that featured various flour and teas.

The labels come in a pack of 24 with a chalk pencil.

However, Sally opted for a chalkpen from Officeworks.

She told followers that she’s owned her black lid Tupperware containers for the past 16 years and described them as “indestructible”.

“I put a chalkboard label on them (from Kmart). Then I get a chalkboard pen from Officeworks. (Don’t use the Kmart one that comes with the labels — it’s hopeless),” she said in the caption.

She also revealed her square glass jars were bought 21 years ago from David Jones, and despite being “super expensive”, they have remained durable.

She told fans that while they were worth the price, they’re not child-friendly due to being ”quite heavy”.

As a tip when it comes to organising your pantry, Sally suggested to get different sized containers/jars.

“I like to stack them so I can still see the tall ones behind the front ones.”

“Last question — for those asking you can only do this if you have heaps of space. I have done this pantry set-up in every place I’ve lived in, including the first place we lived in (a tiny apartment in Darlinghurst above da clubs) which had almost a non-existent pantry and just some shelves,” she explained.

“So it can be done anywhere — just scale it up and down back on your space.”

In October, the 48-year-old media personality, who has two daughters – Annabelle, 10, and Elyssa, four, with husband Marcus, revealed how she is recovering from “very deep burns” after spilling boiling coffee on herself.

Taking to Instagram with a bandaged photo from Royal North Shore Hospital at the time, the former Today Tonight reporter recalled the horror moment she was rushed to hospital after the freak accident.

In the caption, she described going about her normal ritual of grabbing a coffee after the school drop off, until something spooked her and she jumped, spilling her drink. She said the incident occurred “very quickly”.

Sally is best known for co-hosting Seven’s afternoon talk show The Daily Edition, from 2013

until it was cancelled in June last year.
