Swede-turned-Sydneysider Sara Lundgren is the woman behind Zakkia, a new Australian homewares brand. Drawing on Sara’s Swedish heritage, Zakkia offers Scandinavian inspired designs using natural material such as concrete and brass.
“Growing up, my Mum was very interested in design and home decor, so I spent countless hours of my childhood in paint shops, furniture stores and hunting for treasures at auctions and flea markets in the Swedish countryside,” she says.
