Two of Australia’s biggest supermarkets are going head-to-head this week with air fryer oven deals.
But these are no ordinary air fryers, with both having a new feature that is sure to excite bargain lovers.
German supermarket Aldi has a 23 litre Air Fryer Oven on offer for $149 as part of its Wednesday weekly Special Buys.
Coles also has a similar item, a 25 litre All-In-One Oven with Air Fryer for $129 on offer in its Friday Best Buys.
Aside from being $20 cheaper and two-litres bigger, Coles version of the popular kitchen gadget is 1800 watt while Aldi’s is 1700.
Both have the ability to cook pizza’s too, which is a new feature to the air fryer fun as many other models have baskets to cook in while these have oven style shelves.

“We think customers are in for a real treat this Friday. We’ve worked hard with our suppliers to provide exceptional value on essential kitchen appliances that we’re confident our customers will absolutely love,” Coles General Manager for Health & Home Jonathan Torr said.
“Our All-In-One Oven with Air Fryer emulates department store models and has a 25 litre capacity so you can cook an even larger pizza.
“It’s 1800W, stainless steel with 10 preset functions and has full digital functionality – and we’re offering it for just $129!”
If you’re a fan of crisp pizza bases, Aldi have thrown in a pizza stone with its cooking gadget, as well as a baking tray, Air Fryer basket, baking rack and rotisserie accessories.
It also has a dehydrate function, a feature that has proved popular on previous models.
Both have 10 preset functions and a digital display.

Coles recently launched its fortnightly Best Buys, a selection of items traditionally not sold in supermarkets. The range was designed to rival Aldi’s success with Special Buys.
Since it began at the start of June, Coles said it has items “sell out” and is continuing to expand the offers to be sold in more stores nationwide, adding an additional 30 this week that brings the total to 88 stores across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
Aldi has previously had queues for its Air Fryer’s, with a recent XXL version creating mass excitement.
A video on the brand’s YouTube page showing off the appliance has racked up almost 50,000 views in just a few days.
“You’ll be the star of your own cooking show,” the voiceover declares in the humorous promotional video.
