In April 2022, at the age of 19, Poppy Beguely noticed that she was experiencing severe hangovers after a night out ââ¬â often vomiting, developing a sore inside her nose and a facial rash. While she initially put it all down to going too hard on boozy evenings with friends, she started to be more concerned when she started coughing blood and the symptoms persisted. She was hospitalised three times between June-October 2022 after nights out and claims doctors believed she may have deep vein thrombosis, administering her with blood thinners and allegedly dismissing her concerns that something more sinister was at play. But it wasnââ¬â¢t until December 2022, that alarm bells were raised when she visited a doctor with a sore neck ââ¬â and she opened up about all of the symptoms she had been experiencing.
