Your post-gym shakes are about the get an upgrade thanks to a new iconic Aussie collaboration. 

For those of us who struggle with the taste of protein powder – or perhaps are just sick and tired of the same old bland vanilla blend – Macro Mike’s newest flavour drop should be at the top of your shopping list. 

Joining forces with the iconic taste of Golden Gaytimes, Macro Mike’s Golden Almond Protein range is set to hit the shelves on Wednesday, October 16. 

Not only does the new iteration of protein taste exactly like everyone’s favourite childhood treat, but it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and packed full of health-boosting ingredients that don’t compromise on quality. 

With over 23g of protein per serving, the Streets x Macro Mike lovechild is the ideal go-to powder for deadlift lovers with a sweet tooth. 

“This collaboration was 4 years in the making and the formula went through over 12 months of product development and literally countless revisions to make it perfect,” Macro Mike founder  Mike Kellett shares in a post to Instagram. “The feedback was unbelievable and you guys were blown away by the flavour.”

“Unfortunately most plant-based proteins are all mass-produced by the same manufacturers and made with cheap and nasty ingredients focusing on profits only,” Kellett continues. 

“My goal is to push the boundaries of what’s possible not only just for our customers but to lift the entire dairy-free / plant-based protein industry to a higher standard.”

Weighing in on the partnership, Unilever’s general manager of ice cream, ANZ, Scott Mingl, shares the brand’s vision for the collaboration, “Golden Gaytime ice cream has been a beloved treat for Australians for generations,” he says. 

“We are super excited about this collaboration with the Macro Mike Golden Almond Protein range as it brings together the nostalgic taste of Golden Gaytime with the added nutritional benefits of protein making it a delicious and wholesome choice.”

The Macro Mike Golden Almond Protein range will be available from Wednesday, October 16 from the Macro Mike website.
