Cult burger chain Milky Lane drops craziest item yet

An Australian restaurant chain is set to leave foodies frothing over its latest creation featuring a pancake in a burger.

Cult burger chain releases craziest item yet

It might seem like a burger that went too far, but as the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.

Restaurant chain Milky Lane has released its latest creation for Father’s Day called: Breakfast in Bed.

The burger consists of two smashed beef patties, melted cheese, crispy bacon, hash brown, pancake, fried egg, maple syrup, and cheese and bacon bits.

“The ‘Breakfast in Bed’ Burger is our way of celebrating Dads in a special and delicious way,” Milky Lane founder Christian Avant explained.

“We wanted to capture the essence of Father’s Day by combining all the classic breakfast elements into an ultimate burger that’s a treat for the taste buds.

“It’s not just a meal – it’s an experience.”

Because I’m a burger connoisseur and news reporter, I agreed to try the Breakfast in Bed.

I’ll be honest, I don’t usually go for burgers with too many ingredients but this item really surprised me. It was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever had.

The combinations of sweet and savoury work surprisingly well together. Although I must warn you, it can be quite messy when eating.

For all the fathers out there looking for the breakfast in bed experience, I say try this burger.

If I were to rate Breakfast in Bed out of 10, I would give it a nine.

Another unique creation from Milky Lane is The Real Cheeseburger. It’s their take on Burger King Thailand’s new cheeseburger.

It has 20 slices of American cheddar between two milk buns. If that’s not cheesy enough, it’s hollowed through the middle and filled with cheese sauce.

When I heard about this item, my first thought was an episode of The Simpsons when Homer stayed up all night and ate 64 slices of American cheese.

While it’s not on the menu, the restaurant will make The Real Cheeseburger for you, but beware that you might be eating at your own risk.

One of the staff members jokingly told me that I might end up with high cholesterol or need a trip to the hospital.

The verdict?

As much as I love cheeseburgers, this was not for me. After one bite, I was done.

While it is very cheesy, I found it was too intense. I’d give this a 1/10.

The Breakfast in Bed Burger will only be available during Father’s Day weekend from Friday, September 1 to September 3.
