She’s been dubbed the “best tennis WAG” at this year’s Australian Open – but before she took Melbourne by storm, Paige Lorenze’s life looked very different to the perfectly curated one she promotes online.
The American influencer’s feed has shown her inside a string of the exclusive invite-only marquees dotted around the Rod Laver Arena since the annual sporting competition kicked off last week.
She’s also been papped courtside supporting her boyfriend of two-years, professional tennis player Tommy Paul.
She has even been seen hanging out with some of the most popular tennis WAGs, including Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle and Nick Kyrgios’s other half, Costeen Hatzi.
So it’s fair to say Lorenze fits in seamlessly among those who frequent the jet-set tennis circuit.
But her life hasn’t always been an Instagram fairytale.
One US publication brutally described Lorenze as “the female Pete Davidson” after noting she had been romantically linked to an “eclectic group of men, including two professional athletes, a movie star, a country music sensation and a former Bachelorette contestant”.
Lorenze claimed ex shared graphic photos
Her most well-known relationship prior to meeting Paul during the US Open in 2023 was her headline-hitting romance with disgraced actor Armie Hammer who has been accused of sexual misconduct, sexual assault and even possible cannibalism.
The Social Network star was never charged and has always denied the allegations made against him.
However, Lorenze – who reportedly dated Hammer for four months in 2020, claimed her former partner allegedly branded and bruised her, sexually coerced her, and took graphic photos of her without her consent.
“I have gotten a DM saying Armie had sent me photos of me tied up that I didn’t know about. I didn’t even know the photos existed or what they look like,” she told Page Six in 2021.
“He would talk about it like a traditional BDSM relationship, but it wasn’t. This was way outside and beyond that.”
She also claimed that during their relationship the two engaged in knife-play, stating in one incident involving a sharp weapon he allegedly “carved the letter ‘A’ near her vagina”.
Hammer later admitted to part of Lorenze’s claims, but stressed he didn’t technically brand her.
“I wouldn’t say brand, no,” he told Piers Morgan.
“There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand, that we had discussed where, you know, I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter ‘A’ — just like the tip of a small knife.
“I mean, there wasn’t even blood in the situation. It was more like a scrape … It’s along the lines of couples getting their own initials tattooed on each other”.
Morgan Wallen
After moving on from what she claimed was an abusive relationship with the US actor, Lorenze dated country singer Morgan Wallen.
The influencer, who is also the creator of a popular clothing brand Dairy Boy, went Instagram official with the 31-year-old in February 2022 after she had been rumoured to have been quietly dating him “for almost a year”.
But less than a month later the pair split over suspected cheating allegations, Page Six reported at the time.
Tyler Cameron
A few months later, Lorenze began dating US Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron after meeting at a bar in New York.
Sadly, like her romance with Wallen, Lorenze’s time with Cameron ended shortly after they went public.
She subsequently accused the reality star of “using” her for Instagram followers and shared that she was blindsided when he announced their break-up on TV, labelling it “weird”.
Tommy Paul
Three months after her unexpected split from Cameron, Lorenze debuted her relationship with Tommy Paul, and the pair have gone from strength to strength since.
The pair met on Instagram during the 2022 US Open, with the influencer and proud entrepreneur seemingly taking to her new life as a WAG like a duck to water.
“So many of the (other athletes’) wives and girlfriends have been so warm and welcoming to me,” she told the New York Post in August 2023.
“I have made some amazing girlfriends in a short period of time while being on tour with Tommy, and it’s really nice to feel like we have our own little support group.”
Lorenze storms Melbourne
Lorenze, 26, is often found in a courtside box, cheering on her boyfriend in an outfit more suited to the runways than a tennis match.
Since arriving Down Under to support her other half, she’s sported an array of stylish outfits – and even spotlighted a much-loved Aussie fashion brand, Mode Mischief.
In a “get ready with me” video, Lorenze shared two options from the “slow fashion” brand, with many praising the American for featuring a local designer.
“OMG yessss @modemischiefstudios getting the love it deserves,” one wrote on the video.
“Paige is the First Lady of tennis,” declared another.
As another claimed: “Wow, you’re shaking the whole of Australia Paige.”
Endless tennis WAG besties
She’s also been spotted at a number of exclusive Australian Open events, including the “Creator Clinic” at the Emirates suite where she was photographed alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis’s model ex, Hannah Dal Sasso, and Costeen Hatzi.
Fans of the social media star have been following her AO antics mostly for her fashion, with many declaring her style “too good”.
Her most recent ensemble, which featured a black tank top with belted white pleated shorts, was highly frothed over online.
“Yeah so this fit slayed,” one wrote.
“Our jaws are on the floor,” another agreed.
As many more said Lorenze was “serving”, adding every outfit she wore was “so chic”.
