Eagle-eyed fans spot sweet detail in Kate Middleton’s video message

"It was so apt," a royal photographer shared while claiming the location for the two-minute video was likely carefully planned out.

Princess of Wales reveals she has cancer

The world paused this week when the Princess of Wales shared an emotional video message confirming she has been quietly battling cancer.

It answered many questions about her whereabouts and hosed down all the ridiculous theories about why she hasn't been seen in public since her "mysterious" abdominal surgery in January and that unfortunate Mother's Day photoshop scandal.

While we took in every word, there was something that eagle-eyed royalists noticed in the background that served as a hopeful sign for the Princess and mum-of-three.

The background of Kate's video holds a special message

The 42-year-old Princess explained that she had already begun her preventative chemotherapy treatment, while sitting calmly on a wooden bench seat in a garden. Behind her was a sea of green grass and yellow daffodils.

The location for the two-minute video was likely carefully planned out, according to The Sun’s royal photographer Arthur Edwards.

Daffodils have been a symbol of hope for cancer patients for many years.

"It was so apt. Not only is it Wales’ national flower — but it’s also a bloom long associated with cancer patients and survivors," the photographer shared.

It was not only a message for herself, but also for those affected by the disease.

"The daffodil is a flower of hope. It’s one of the first flowers of spring and signals that the miserable days of winter are behind us," he added.

"They give you a lift, a lovely boost."

'A huge shock': Kate's emotional confession

In Kate's bombshell announcement, she shared that the cancer was detected following her planned abdominal surgery.

“The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment," she shared in the clip.

“William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.

As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK," she added.

The Princess went on to say that she felt “stronger every day” and ended the message with a message of hope to match her symbolic background.

“At this time, I am also thinking of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer. For everyone facing this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith or hope. You are not alone."
