Fans of the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be able to enter the ballot to win up to five tickets to this year’s event from Friday, October 29.
The good news comes as the event’s director Brian Gilbertson unveiled two new floats at Adelaide Oval – Izzy the Dinosaur and Summer Holiday, a cute red retro car and caravan combo.
“We are just 38 sleeps from the pageant,” Mr Gilbertson said. “We have been working around the clock to ensure the ticket registration process is fair.”
Pretty in purple, Izzy was designed by local sculptor and artist Dave Clarke, who won a SALA competition to be part of the pageant for the first time.
The float took more than 20 weeks to design and make.
“It’s a full-scale, jaw dropping float complete with baby T-Rexs,” Clarke said.
Summer Holiday was designed by John Barone who has worked on the pageant for 38 years.
The pageant – which has an approved Covid Management Plan in place – is being held at Adelaide Oval on Saturday, November 13.
The October 29 ballot will open at 10am and close on October 31 at 10pm. Ticket winners will be notified by organisers. “We have been working around the clock to ensure the ticket registration process is fair,” Mr Gilbertson said.
The event will be broadcast and streamed live by Nine.
