Fans of high-end designer brands can look forward to having bags of style – literally – now that Adelaide is getting its very own Louis Vuitton store.
The luxury luggage maker is finally setting up shop here – except there’s a catch.
Like a limited edition LV handbag, the outlet is only going to be around for a short period.
That is because it will be a pop-up – open from October 13 to December 28.
The store will be in Rundle Mall’s Adelaide Central Plaza, which is also home to Tiffany & Co. and TAG Heuer.
Louis Vuitton has previously hosted an invite-only shopping experience – for VIPs and influencers – at Adelaide’s Sol, but this is SA’s first LV store open to the public.
News of the pop-up coincides with Cate Blanchett kicking up her heels on the red carpet at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 Paris Fashion Week show.
Naturally, she was dressed by the French fashion house.
The Oscar-winning Australian actor was also wearing LV when she guest of honour at the Capri Theatre, Goodwood, on for a sold-out special screening of her movie Taras at the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival.

The timing of the upcoming pop-up is designed to coincide with the silly season. So, for those hoping to see a little LV – or a lot, such as the famous monogrammed travel trunk – in their Christmas stocking, it might be time to start being extra nice.
FYI, you can book an appointment to shop – or browse – at the LV pop-up, and, as you would expect, all spots for opening day have been well and truly snapped up.
