Bluey star Melanie Zanetti hints we’re getting a movie!

According to the actress who voices Chilli, fans should get prepared for some big cameos if/when it hits the big screen. 

Bluey fans, take a chair coz you're going to want to be seated for the news we're about to give you. 

Rumours are rife that the much-loved Aussie animation is heading to the big screen - for real life!

While there hasn't been any sort of confirmation from Ludo Studios or any of the creative geniuses behind the ABC cartoon, star and voice of Chilli, Melanie Zanetti, has hinted that a movie is definitely on the cards.

A Bluey move is coming...?

Speaking to New Ideamagazine, the Aussie actress claimed that given how popular the Heeler family is around the globe, it was definitely time to look beyond the small screen and into bigger projects. 

"I do think it's time for a Bluey movie," she told the publication. 

"The show is just very universal in the way that it follows a family. I've spent a lot of time in the US and they all have the same reception to the show.

"So many people tell me that it's like watching a little bit of Australia move by in a little window, which is so lovely."

Not only is Melanie super keen to see a film in the near future, but she is also obviously on board as would other big names in the entertainment industry. 

"I would be 1000% percent be open to doing that."

According to the gossip mag, with celebrity cameos like Eva Mendes already appearing on the show, don't be surprised if you see other A-listers join the cast in the future. 

They dropped names such as Ryan Gosling and Natalie Portman amongst a few others.

Bluey fans gutted by Logies snub

Bluey made headlines recently for losing out on the 'Most Outstanding Children's Program' gong at the 63rd TV Week Logie Awards.

The show previously won in both 2019 and 2022 and was set to take home the title again this year but ultimately failed to receive the votes.

Instead, ABC's original series Crazy Fun Park took out the prestigious award and to say fans weren't happy is an understatement. 

"Bluey, the most successful TV show in Australia has missed out on a Logie. Okay then?!"," one fan rage Tweeted.

Another posted: "I am gutted, Bluey was robbed."

"Bluey is the real winner," claimed someone else.

Logie or no Logie, something tells us that the pup and her family will do just fine and IF /WHEN the movie is dropped, it will bring in some healthy numbers at the box office.
