Australia’s richest muscle car enthusiast Adrian Portelli has jetted into Adelaide – and handed out thousands of dollars worth of Coles vouchers to SA shoppers.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the 35-year-old announced the giveaway on Tuesday, saying he would be at Coles Munno Para and Port Adelaide on Wednesday handing out $100 and $200 vouchers.
Although the original post disappeared, it was widely shared elsewhere.

On Wednesday, the billionaire – best known as “Lambo guy” for his collection of expensive Lamborghinis – again took to Instagram to share vision of long queues outside the doors of the Munno Para supermarket, with Portelli claiming he had given away $75,000 to “those who need it”.
He then visited the Port Adelaide store on Commercial Rd where again he filmed lines of shoppers queuing outside of the store.
He updated the caption to claim $150,000 had been handed out to 1000 SA families.
It’s not the first time the billionaire businessman has pulled off such a stunt.
In early February, he gave away $80,000 to shoppers at a Coles outlet at Melbourne’s Taylors Lakes in vouchers and, later, cash.
Portelli, who grew up in the hardworking western suburbs of Melbourne, is now one of the most prominent members of The List – Australia’s Richest 250, with an estimated $1.3bn fortune.
A Coles spokesperson said the stores were aware of the giveaway and “and ensured that the safety of our team members and customers at both Munno Para and Port Adelaide Coles was first and foremost”.
“One thousand families were able to benefit from his generosity of handing out Coles vouchers.”
