Sydney pilates queen Bernadette Fahey and Buildcorp COO Jordan Sukkar have wed in a lavish ceremony in the city’s eastern suburbs.
The nuptials were held on Saturday at Scots College in affluent Bellevue Hill and attended by a ream of the city’s social set – fashion darlings, models and business personalities among them.
Guests included Jasmine and Karl Stefanovic, Jasmine’s sister Jade Yarbrough, Merivale owner Justin Hemmes and his partner Madeline Holtznagel, model Montana Cox, Deborah Symond O’Neill and Nadia Fairfax-Wayne.
Fahey, who owns Bondi’s popular Body by Berner pilates studio, and Sukkar, the head of his family’s $500 million construction business, have been dating for less than a year.
Sukkar is from one of Sydney’s wealthiest families – his parents, Josephine and Tony, founded Buildcorp in 1990.
No expense was spared on the day, with Fahey, 35, resplendent in an embroidered veil and strapless, satin gown by Steven Khalil.
Her bridesmaids were dressed by local designer Michael Lo Sordo.
Fahey told The Daily Telegraph in late November that guests were provided with some “inspiration” for their black tie attire.
“It isn’t a mood board but guests were sent some inspiration for dresses – colourful gowns,” she said.
Sukkar popped the question in July during a romantic getaway in Tinos, a Greek island in the Aegean Sea.
Fahey told The Daily Telegraph in 2023 she’d found dating “difficult” in the past “because I have been so focused on building my business and working, so I don’t have a lot of time outside of that”.
“If looking to date someone, the qualities I look for are someone who is ambitious, driven and has a hard work ethic.”
The newlyweds made their official debut in May, at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation’s Gold Dinner charity gala.
