"Am I missing something?!"
A woman has taken to the ALDI Mums Facebook group to share her surprising find.
“First time buying milk buns. Went to make dinner and saw the display until and best before date… am I missing something?! 😅” she said in the post.
In the photo, you can see the best before date on the product listed as 11/01/70.

"Crazy mistake!"
Shoppers in the comments were cracking up over the post.
“Crazy mistake,” one person said.
“So much preservatives in them they'll be good until 2070 🤣,” said another.
“Are you from the future?!?!” a third asked.
“Well they will outlast us 😂😂” another said.
“Lol, definitely a misprint but they do last ages 😆” said another.
"They will still be fine to eat!"
But, of course, the error was no more than a misprint, with ALDI employees quickly coming to the comments to put the rumours to rest.
“This can sometimes happen when the battery of the machine they use to print the stickers runs out of battery, it’ll reset the calendar and the staff need to override the calendar,” said one commenter.
“They will still be fine to eat. Just say approx 5 day expiry for the day you bought them.”
“This happens when the Sato (printing machine) isn’t on charge for an update. The worker probably printed 100+ tickets not realising and just stickered away as we get brioche etc in daily and it needs to be stickered as it comes in for correct dates,” another suggested.
