Tradies attempt reformer pilates in hilarious viral clip

As Taylor Swift transitions into her sporty era, it seems many of us are inspired to follow suit, looking to upgrade our fitness routines without breaking the bank.

Lucky for us, ALDI has swooped in right on cue, offering a range of fitness gear in their upcoming Special Buys sale launching on Saturday, 2nd March.

Leading the pack, and definitely the highlight of this launch, is a Reformer Pilates Machine - which is substantially cheaper than those from competitors that can range anywhere from $600-$2000.

At just $299 you can sweat it out at home while following along with your favourite pilates instructor, without the hefty price tag.

"So keen to try it"

Words of ALDI’s reformer launch have already reached social media and pilates forums, with people sharing their plans to snag one before they sell out.

In the ALDI Fans Australia group, one user expressed: “I’m going to run out and get this as soon as it’s out!”

Another said, “So keen to try it,” while another suggested giving it a go with ALDI's 60-day trial option and returning it if you don’t like it, as per the returns policy.

In the r/pilates subreddit, some reformer enthusiasts were debating whether or not a budget machine like this would be high quality and safe, but others assured it was a great option.

“I saw it advertised and am keen to hear other people’s opinions,” a poster wrote.

Someone replied, “It’s going to be a hit. Their stuff is pretty decent for the price.”

Then another weighed in, saying that while it isn’t the fanciest machine on the market, it does the job and makes pilates accessible for a wider range of people to do at home.

“There is a lot of classist elitism on this subreddit that would encourage you to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. An inexpensive home reformer, while perhaps lacking some bells and whistles and a fancy-looking frame can still absolutely change your life for the better.

“You can hit that thing as much as you want, whenever you want. Yes, there is value in having an instructor if you are brand new and learning the flow. But after that? It’s so much more liberating to do it on your own terms.”

“Any home reformer is better than no reformer,” they concluded.
