KNOCK knock. Is that Justin Timberlake standing at your door? Maybe, but only if you're a MasterCard customer.
As part of MasterCard's advertising activities around the Grammy Awards, JT is expected to show up at a US fan's door for the credit card giant's 'Priceless Surprises' campaign. Get it? A surprise from an international music superstar. It's priceless.
To avoid the embarrassment of JT turning up on the doorstep of a 50-something death metal purist, MasterCard is requiring groupies to hashtag #pricelesssurprises on Twitter or Instagram to be in the running. And JT will be totally into it because he "co-created" the concept with MasterCard's marketing team, according to AdAge.
JT has a (no doubt lucrative) two-year deal with MasterCard. He's previously played private concerts for MasterCard customers.
MasterCard chief marketing officer Raja Rajamannar said in a statement: "The success of Priceless is driven by the campaign's ability to create emotion, influence behaviour, unite people and touch upon consumer passions.
"Priceless Surprises is an evolution from celebrating priceless moments and enabling priceless experiences to inspiring Priceless in new and unexpected ways."
