You're a fat slag... I will hunt you down: Kyle Sandilands' radio rant at journalist over review of his show

THE sponsors of the Kyle and Jackie O show have raised serious concerns about the DJ's behaviour after he called a journalist a "fat slag" on air.

HOLDEN has pulled its sponsorship of the Kyle and Jackie O show after Kyle Sandilands' abusive on-air rant.

The decision is effective immediately.

The radio host  called the reporter a "fat slag" and made derogatory remarks about her hair and breasts yesterday morning on his show, after an article critical of the debut of his new TV show, A Night with the Stars.

Holden distanced themselves yesterday from his comments and today confirmed they were ending their commercial arrangement with the show.

"Recent comments made on the Kyle and Jackie O breakfast show do not in any way reflect the views or opinions of Holden and we are very disappointed to hear Kyle's personal attack on a journalist," Holden spokeswoman Kate Lonsdale said.

 "We believe the show is no longer in line with Holden's core values and as a result we have taken action to withdraw our sponsorship of the program, effective immediately."

Austereo, which airs Sandiland's radio show, and Channel Seven, which produced A Night with the Stars, are refusing to take any action over his comments.

Sandilands took issue with the journalist after she reported that viewers had called his 90-minute TV special "awkward" and a "disaster" on Twitter.

He said on his 2DayFM show yesterday morning: "Some fat slag on the Telegraph website, sorry, news.com.au, has already branded it a disaster. You can tell by reading the article she just hates us. What a fat bitter thing you are. You’ve got a nothing job anyway. You’re a piece of shit."

His co-host Jackie O joked that Sandilands didn't take criticism well. Sandilands then named the journalist and said: "You are supposed to be impartial, you little troll ... You’re a bullshit artist girl. That’s what you are. You should be fired from your job."

After Jackie O told listeners that the article contained a picture of the reporter, Sandilands said: "You haven’t got that much titty to be wearing that low cut a blouse. Watch your mouth girl, or I will hunt you down."
