Hot on the heels of a second consecutive overall win in the latest Adelaide radio ratings, Triple M has notched another honour, while a Nova brekkie host is also up for a prestigious award.

Adelaide’s 104.7 Triple M and Nova breakfast co-host Andrew Hayes have been nominated for top prizes in this year’s national Australian Commercial Radio & Audio (ACRA) Awards.
Triple M has been named as a finalist for Station of the Year, following the station’s second consecutive overall win in this month’s Adelaide radio ratings survey.
The station also took out the number one spot for its Roo, Ditts & Loz Breakfast show and the number one drive show for The Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey & Jars.
Hayes, co-host of Nova Adelaide’s breakfast radio show alongside Jodie Oddy, is nominated in the Best New Talent On Air metro category, joining 2GB’s Chris O’Keefe, 3AW’s Jacqui Felgate and Gold 104.3’s Mary Argall.
Former SANFL premiership player and Seven sports presenter Hayes said he felt honoured to “get the nod”.
“I’m really lucky to be able to work with Jodie and our amazing team and that I get to call this (radio) “work”… Jodie is an absolute pro and has taught me a hell of a lot… Mostly good things,” he said.
Tabatha Goodier from Magic 93.1 in Berri, is also a country finalist in the same category.
Adelaide trio Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton, Belle Jackson have been nominated for Best Comedy Segment for their Aussie We Didn’t Start The Fire skit on Nova 100 Melbourne.
FIVEaa’s Mel Usher is in the running for Best News Presenter AM metro, a category which she has previously won.
Triple M has been on the rise for some time, with the Breakfast show enjoying 14 straight wins as Adelaide’s number one FM Breakfast show.
In the Station of the Year category, Triple M Adelaide is up against fellow SCA station B105 in Brisbane, as well as Gold104.3 in Melbourne, 2GB and KIIS 1065 in Sydney,
Non-metro contenders include 1029 Gold Coast; 102.9 Newcastle; 102.3 Townsville and defending titleholder Mix 106.3 in Canberra.
National nominees for Best On Air Team include last year’s winners Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson, The Christian O’Connell Show, Jason Hawkins and Lauren Phillips, Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little, and Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
The winners will be revealed in a red-carpet event at The Star in Sydney on October 12.
