Travis Head and Jessica Davies’ engagement a ‘beautiful surprise’

After meeting in high school, cricket star Travis Head and his partner Jessica Davies are preparing to say ‘I do’.

Mr and Mrs has a nice ring to it for one of Confidential’s favourite sporting couples, Redbacks captain Travis Head and his partner Jessica Davies.

The couple became engaged on Friday.

“It was such a beautiful day and a beautiful surprise”, Jessica – who has her own business, J’Adore Home – tells Confidential, adding: “We’re very happy!”.

Travis and Jessica took to Instagram on the weekend to share their news. Both posted an image that shows Jessica sporting a stunning diamond ring.

“Most amazing day of my life! Asked my best friend to spend the rest of our lives together,” wrote Travis, who has represented Australia at Test, One-Day and T20 level.

The batsman also making reference to the fact that he and Jessica met while they were studying at Trinity College in Gawler where he was born: “Thank you mum & dad. The best thing to come out of school.”

Jessica captioned her post, “ … and then my best friend asked me to spend the rest of our lives together”, adding a personal; message: “Travis I love you so much, I’m so lucky #engaged.”

The announcement’s proved popular, with the couple’s collective followings of more than 100,000 loving the news and posting hundreds of messages of congratulations.
