Tones and I has stunned her followers as she continues to embrace her changing appearance.
The Australian musician, real name Toni Watson, was among a host of big name acts to perform at the Singapore Grand Prix at the weekend, where she shared a video of her glamorous outfit on Tik Tok.
Tones, who first shot to fame in 2019 with the release of her global hit Dance Monkey, has rocked a vastly different look in recent months, after first breaking onto the music scene in more edgy attire.
In her social media video, the singer could be seen wearing a semi-sheer floral top with a pleated red skirt, while styling herself with a full face of makeup and her blonde hair worn in beach waves.
Her followers couldn’t help but point out how different Tones was looking, with the star first unveiling her seemingly sudden transformation in a viral social media post in May.
“Wow unrecognisable,” one wrote on the Tik Tok.
“She’s giving confidence. Stunning girl!” another said.
“You are so beautiful, always have been,” a third added.
“You are looking absolutely stunning,” another chimed in.
In an August interview with the newly relaunched Cosmopolitan Australia magazine, Tones addressed recent commentary about her different look for the first time as the singer promoted her second studio album Beautifully Ordinary.
“I’ve lost weight, so apparently that’s the biggest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life,” Tones offered, sarcastically.
She continued, “Everything is up for discussion. My body shape, my music, my livelihood, my relationship. I wish I could say that I could be someone where that doesn’t affect me. But it does. Especially when like, my nanna, my family – they can see everything.”
Despite initially hitting the scene in more baggy clothing, Tones said her move to embrace a more feminine style has long been the aesthetic she relates to.
“I’m not a tomboy, I’m a girly girl and I always have been,” she said.
“But I didn’t feel comfortable in myself and my body, so I covered myself up.”
