The Bachelor, a bikini blogger and a beauty guru merge to create a beautiful Hayman Island party

HAYMAN Island and ModelCo hosted a glamour-fuelled event for ‘women of influence’. So what really happened at the party?

SELFIE sticks, bronzed bods, Instagram frenzies and clinking glasses — it was all hands on deck when a crew of ‘influencers’ hit Hayman Isle for two days full days of pure, unadulterated luxury.

The exclusive event was hosted by ModelCo boss Shelley Barrett and the recently revamped One & Only Hayman Island.

Bikini blogger Tash Oakley and socialite Anna Heinrich were invited to be part of Barrett’s ‘Women Of Influence’ event with their partners, photographer Martin Medus and The Bachelor’s Tim Robards, by their sides.

Loved-up pair Tim, 31, and Anna, 27 (who found each other on 2013 series of The Bachelor) and Tash and Martin cut fine forms at a series of events, the two pairs forming firm friendships over the two full-on days.

Other invitees included Kate Waterhouse, Sally Obermeder and Erika Heynatz who talked success and inspiration — two of the biggest topics that will be included in Barrett’s book which comes out next year.

And there was a glamour-packed itinerary for guests which included sunset cocktail parties with Christine Anu singing ‘My Island Home’; a boat cruise around the Great Barrier Reef as DJ Daimon Downey did has stuff; cabana champagne afternoons; jet ski and snorkelling adventures and one mighty grand white lunch overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

Here are some snippets from the glamorous few days:

• Tim Robards attempted to sailboard. Tim told news.com.au he was pretty much a virgin when it came to that water sport but he made for a spectacular sight. A diehard fan of the selfie stick, we were all pleased Tim wasn’t attempting a snap at the same time as his sailing efforts.

• Both Tash and Anna — and their big social media followings — told news.com.au they are heading to Bali next week for more blog-frolics before Tash zips off to Paris and then to Los Angeles, meanwhile Anna will go to see Tim’s family in Newcastle. Yes, the life of high-flying bloggers.

• Kate Waterhouse and husband Luke Ricketson hands-down won the cute baby award. Six month-old Sophie Edie took to the Whitsundays water like her former footballing dad took to the field.

• Tim Holmes a Court and DJ Damien Downey told news.com.au they have gone back to the 80s with a new Sydney venture called Bondy’s (an ode to former high-flyer Alan Bond) complete with OTT styling, 80s music and even a $20,000 cocktail on the list.

• The Daily Edition co-host Sally Obermeder is heading off to LA and San Francisco this weekend to amp up her big-selling Green Smoothie book and new website. All this after beating breast cancer? Yup. Go the mighty Sal!

• Barrett declared the ‘women of influence’ exercise a big success and with her One & Only ambassador hat firmly in place, says the Maldives just may be next. Bring it on!

• One & Only Hayman has gone under a, gulp, $80 million dollar transformation

• The resort includes guest rooms, suites, villas and penthouses that are set among expansive pools, lush gardens and two kilometres of pristine white sand beaches and private coral bays

• There are eight new luxurious (private) cabanas perched around the pool areas that serves champagne and whatever else guests require.

• Luxury is the key word on the isle with any whim catered to with the help of a swag of butlers who make any request — a private, champagne-fuelled lunch on Whitehaven anyone? really happen.

Yep, in a nutshell, the place is (champagne) bucket-list bliss.
