HOUSE Rules scored a significant ratings win over The Block Sky High last night.

Channel 7's renovation show averaged a whopping 1.54 million viewers nationally for its final 'house reveal' episode.

Nine's renovation rival averaged 1.369 million viewers for its room reveal results episode.

Tasmanian couple Jane and Plinio were eliminated from House Rules while Matt and Kim scored their first room win on The Block.

The Block still dominates in Sydney and is narrowly ahead of House Rules in Melbourne.

House Rules is king in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

House Rules got off to an ordinary start on May 14 with 803,000 viewers for its launch episode but it has been steadily building ever since.

Tasmania's Jane and Plinio became the first team to be eliminated from House Rules last night

The husband and wife exited the show after languishing at the bottom of the leaderboard when scores for all six home renovations were calculated.

Jane and Plinio scored 89 points, only one point behind Victorian brothers Nick &Chris who remain in the competition.

South Australia's Carly and Leighton was top with 107 points followed by West Australia's Jemma and Ben with 105. Queensland's Amy and Sean scored 98 with New South Wales' Michelle and Steve on 97.

"It is a moment of real disappointment," a teary Jane said. "This experience has been really hard at times, it's been fantastic at times.

Jane and Plinio's exit came after teams fought termites, rats and asbestos to transform Michelle and Steve's home.

The horror week meant many teams failed to properly finish their zones.

The New South Wales pair gave Carly and Leighton a perfect 10 for their work on the lounge and back deck.

Judge Wendy Moore described the couple's makeover as "just spectacular".

"I think we nailed relaxed family beach home," Carly said.

The couple were far less impressed with Nick and Chris's bathroom and Jemma and Ben's work on the master bedroom, hall, entry and stairs.

"Having to build the stairs from scratch was a massive task and our painting could've been a lot better but we just didn't have time," Jemma said explaining the shortcomings.

House Rules enters its final week with the five remaining teams returning to their own homes with 24 hours to revamp on of the previously renovated zones of their choosing.

The leaderboard has been wiped clean.
