The ladies on the new season of FBoy Island should brace themselves for quite the first date if they choose one of the 24-odd men vying for their attention.
Season two of the wild Aussie dating show premiered on BINGE and Foxtel this week, with the three ladies and their bevy of lads – equal parts “FBoys” and “Nice Guys”- hitting up a beach party on night one to get to know each other.
One immediate standout was gardener Jerome – and not just because he looked rather more like Russell Coight than his tanned, waxed, gym-fit competitors.
He might not seem like an obvious frontrunner amid a cast of influencers and personal trainers, but Jerome told the cameras he was here to win.
“Crocs are on, undies are on. S**t, shower, shave. I’m horny, I’m groovy – lookin’ lush,” he said.
Jerome said he was eager to find time during the party to “talk to a couple of the ladies without the rest of the six-packs getting in my way.”
He might want to work on his small talk before he approaches them, though, because Jerome’s attempts at a get-to-know-you ice breaker left a couple of his fellow contestants speechless.
Stream FBoy Island Australia now on BINGE, available on Hubbl.
“I like to watch a good movie. David Bowie, the Labyrinth, crackin’ movie,” he announced, sat between two other contestants on a couch.
So far, so good.
And then, a hard pivot:
“I love lickin’ arse. I love it. I love eatin’ arse.”
[cue awkward silence]
This week’s season premiere ended with another surprise when time came for the three women, Krystal, Ally and Nicole, to each eliminate one man from the competition.
Krystal picked her bottom two boys only to discover that one of them, Jake, had already quietly left the show earlier in the day... without anyone actually noticing.
“Krystal, Jake hasn’t just ghosted you. He’s ghosted the entire show,” said host Abbie Chatfield, who couldn’t resist a few digs at a guy who’d ditched the show after approximately four seconds of screentime.
“Well guys, you never forget your first elimination. Sadly, the same cannot be said for John … sorry, Jeff,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter what his name is!” she yelled as the remaining boys attempted to correct her.
New episodes of FBoy Island air Mondays on BINGE and Foxtel.
